Decorative rock is the workhorse of low-water landscaping in northern Utah. Parking strips, side yards, slopes, borders around the foundation — areas that are a pain to water and mow do better as clean rock beds.
The install matters more than it looks like it should. Rock dumped on bare dirt grows weeds in a season. We strip the vegetation, grade the area, lay commercial-grade fabric, and spread the rock at proper depth with clean edges. That’s the difference between a rock bed that stays sharp for years and one you’re spraying every June.
